U are finally here and U brought friends too

Gaming bundle from last week Friday Far Cry 3, Zone of the Enders along with, Wii U, Zombie U, Super Mario Bros U, Nintendo Land and Assassin’s Creed 3. Feels like Christmas came early.

Some many games so little time to go through them all however; I’m going to be having fun trying to do so.

I have been waiting for U for quite some time and now U’re finely here. OK no more U puns from now on apart from that last one I just used in this sentence.

PLAY ARTS KAI METAL GEAR SOLID: CYBORG NINJA

PLAY ARTS KAI METAL GEAR SOLID: CYBORG NINJA

I don’t know what it is with these play arts figures they just seem to get better and better with each new line of figures. The level of detail and the articulation to match, I don’t think there is another set of figures that can match up to Square Enix’s level of production. However as the figure line gets better they also get more and more expensive and sometimes hard to find which, is often a pain. Cyborg Ninja AKA “Grey Fox or Frank Jaeger” was originally introduced in the PS1 game Metal Gear Solid. Fox was the only Fox-Hound operative to ever be given the codename Fox because of his skill in the battlefield.

Metal Gear Solid’s Cyborg Ninja is the latest to join the play arts kai toy line and I have to say it is one of the best figures to date. I know I say this to myself all the time with each play arts figure I get my hands on but, it’s true this is one of the best figures to date. It’s a tuff call which is number one out of Final fantasy Gabranth and Cyborg Ninja there both just so good and very accurate to the actually characters they are based on. What is it with characters that are in amour, or where masks or are in some kind of mecha suit that makes them so cool compared to all the regular guys.

The articulation of the Cyborg Ninja is what we have come to expect from the play arts kai line of toys minus a couple of articulate joints such as the waist. This does not hinder the poseability of the figure in any meaningful way. All the typical ninja like poses are still very much possible. There have been a number of play arts figures in the past that really needed a stand to do any meaningful poses. Personally compared to some of the other figures in the kai line I’ve been able to stand Fox in a variety of poses without the aid of a stand. This is great and pretty much explains the lack of stand included, however a stand couldn’t hurt for those that really wanted one included. I personally hate having to use a stand to get my figures to stand up in certain poses.

Grey Fox or Frank Jaeger comes in metallic finished paint which looks mighty impressive furthermore, the level of detail on the figure looks damn nice too. The little details on the suit such as the finely printed writing down to the last detail are game accurate. A lot of effort has gone into this figure it is a finely crafted figure and it shows.

As with most figures in the kai line Fox comes with some added accessories, such as his famous katana, arm canon and additional right hand to hold the katana sword. The katana is finely crafted and looks great but my favourite is the arm canon finely crafted also and looks mighty impressive. Unfortunately there I no alternative head showing Fox’s face like in the game, something similar to what they are doing with play arts kai character Sam Gideon from the game Vanquish.

I don’t really have anything truely bad to say about this finger is pretty much as close to prefect as you can get. Although this being the play arts figures there some people out there that might receive a bad figure with wonky joints and the wrong accessories like two of the same right hands for instance. For I have no such issues this time around with this figure thankfully. The only true downside to me about this figure and the play arts kai line in general is the pricing which seems to get even more expensive with each new release, which is a shame. Simply because these are great figures and some of us won’t be able afford them all and most of these figures don’t hang around long enough to receive a price drop. So it seems us play arts collectors whether loose or moc will have to put up with the hefty price tags which, at the moment range from £49 to £70 per figure. Anyway the figure is fantastic and is well worthy of being in everyone’s collection.

FINAL OPINION: AWESOME / MUST BUY

Cartoon Talk: Avatar Legend of Korra / The Legend of Korra | Episode 1 and 2 | Part 1/2

If you couldn’t tell from the title The Legend of Korra is the follow up from the hit cartoon series Legend of Aang or Avatar Legend of Aang which ever you prefer. Avatar Legend of Aang was and still is one of the best cartoons to hit TV screens in years. The series had great characters, impressive storyline, humour and some truly great fight scenes. The only problem with the series is that it had to end and left fans wanting more. Well The Legend of Korra sets to answer everyone’s prayers and once again prove why the avatar will kick every other cartoon TV series ass.

Statue of Aang (Previous Avatar)
Korra the new Avatar
The Legend of Korra is set a good 70 years after the events of the previous avatar series. Aang (the previous Avatar) has passed away, but not before creating Republic City after defeating fire lord Ozai with the help of his long time rival and friend prince/fire lord Zuko. When the avatar passes away the cycle continues and a new avatar is born enter Korra. From the beginning of the first episode it is apparent that Korra’s adventure is set to be very different from Aangs adventure. You see Aang travelled the globe with his friends searching for masters who could teach him the other three elements he needs to master in order to bring peace to the world, which would eventually lead him to his showdown with fire lord Ozai. Korra on the other hand has already master from a young age three of the four elements she needs to master. On top of this Republic City is the main focus of the series, which means travelling the globe is not on the agenda for this second series. This to me is great as it avoids repetition of the previous series and also represents the fact the things have changed and moved forward in the world of the Avatar.

Transportation in Republic City
Republic City
At first I thought it would be quite weird seeing an actual city with tall buildings and cars in the world of the Avatar, but after watching the first two episodes it fits in very well with korra’s adventure and as mentioned before it represents time has move forward. During the first two episodes Korra finds it difficult getting use to city life as she soon finds that city life is very different to life outside the city. On top of that it’s the same for us viewers, those of us that are familiar with the previous series. Simply because we have never seen a city setting like this before in the world of the avatar, so as Korra gets use to this city setting the long time viewers will too. Korra’s fierce and energetic personality makes it difficult for her to learn air bending which is understandable since air is the most opposite element to her personality. It’s not just air bending, and getting use to city life that Korra has to deal with we soon learn that Republic City has a dark side to it also and peace doesn’t rain throughout the city as this is where the main antagonist of the series enter known as the Eqaulists who are led by Amon. The Eqaulists are simply “anti benders” an organization set up to oppose the art of bending. On the outside the Eqaulists may seem to be a group fighting for some kind of justice but under the hood they are simply out to eradicate benders and anyone else that opposes them.
Amon leader of the Eqaulists
The animation quality and overall level of production is absolutely fantastic and I hope it continues throughout the series. From the very first fight scene of the first episode to seeing Republic City for the first time all in glorious 720p I couldn’t help but wonder if I was watching an animated film or TV series. It is very evident that a lot of effort has gone into the animation even down to the facial expressions on characters faces. To see this level of production from a TV series doesn’t happen so often.

The legend of Korra has had a great start and I hope the series continues strong just like its predecessor. In my next blog update I’ll continue with the Legend of Korra and more about its characters. In meantime in can also check out my YouTube video on Legend of Korra along with some beginners Street Fighter X Tekken gameplay.

Assassin's Creed Revelations - Most Wanted Part 1

Hello once again Hall0606 with another blog post. So basically this little series I call Most Wanted and basically it’s the same thing that I did with my Assassins Creed Brotherhood  videos, which I entitled them as Wanted Mayhem and Manhunt Mayhem. So this is a collection of my Wanted matches from Assassins Creed Revelations embedded onto my blog with some extra notes to go along with the videos.
----------------------------------------
MODE: Wanted -- Your objective is to kill your designated TARGETS and avoid being killed by your PURSUERS. The higher you rank, the more PURSUERS will hunt you. The highest score wins. Quality kills will boost your score through bonuses earned.
Free for all -- 4-8 players
    Session -- 1 round of 10 minutes

MAP: Antioch
PERSONA: Vanguard
PROFILE SETS: 1(Default 2: Fire Crackers and Disguise)
----------------------------------------
ASSASSIN'S CREED REVELATIONS | WANTED | PART 1 | ONLINE MATCH

In this match I am low level and using default profile set 2, which consists of fire crackers and disguise. Now I pretty much only used the disguise since it is the most useful in this mode especially when dealing with pursers cause they will most likely be concentrating on finding the person in the profile picture in the top right, which will leave them exposed for some easy stuns. When using disguise you always have to be careful that your pursers or targets don’t see you using it otherwise you just wasted your disguise ability and any possible advantages you may have had are lost. Now the players in this much are all low levelled and somewhat inexperienced. So one or two surprise stuns and kills I was able to pull off. Now in this match the Knight tends to spend a lot of time on the roof and I try my best to avoid going on the roof because I don’t do so well on the roof tops and also it will cause my detection meter to drop as I’m climbing. I try to use moving blend groups as best as I could to get closer to my targets, furthermore I do have a bit of bad luck in the beginning. However I did try and fight my way back to the top as best as I could.

MAP: Galata
PERSONA: Crusader
PROFILE SETS: 1(Default 2: Fire Crackers and Disguise)

 ASSASSIN'S CREED REVELATIONS | WANTED | PART 2 | ONLINE MATCH

Another low level player match and much like the first do utilise the disguise ability a fair bit in this match.  Also just like the first match the Ottoman Jester spends a lot of time on the roof tops like the Knight did in the first video. I do get a lot of pursers on me in this match at least 2-3 at a time and it can be very difficult to catch up to your targets while trying to avoid so many pursers but again I try my best to do so. Furthermore do earn all my variety bonuses in this match which helps a lot with the final score and in general it was a very early level enjoyable match.

Dungeon Defenders (XBLA) First Play

Dungeon Defenders is a tower defence/Action RPG and is a lot of fun alone but even better when playing with other people providing there not jerks. Anyway this is my first play of dungeon defenders and I plan on making videos up to the fourth level. As with most of my videos I’ve added commentary to the two videos I’ve uploaded so far.

The first two videos are nothing special I start off on the first level which is The Deeper Well. This level begins with two tutorial waves before really starting. Not much commentary is on these first to videos because of the talking narrator during the tutorials. Nevertheless place thumbs up if like the video and join me for my next blog post.

Assassin's Creed Revelations Stun Montage

Been a while since I’ve updated my blog but videos are still being uploaded to my YouTube Channel. For this post I thought I would add my stun montage video I uploaded last week on My YouTube channel. This montage is basically a selection of clips from some of my multiplayer matches from Assassins Creed Revelations.  It’s the first time I’ve done anything like this, apart from my intro that is. So hopefully if enough people enjoy the video then maybe I’ll do more.

I tried to find a variety clips involving different stuns like stuns with smoke bombs, naked stuns etc. I was aiming for the video to be at least five minutes but it ended up being a lot longer almost ten minutes. There were so many good clips I just kept adding them till I realised how long the video was going to turn out to be.

Anyway the video is embedded below for all to see if you have seen it already. If you like the video leave a comment and give the video thumbs up.
